How do other parents discipline their children that have ADHD, bipolar, BPD, aspergers,ODD, OCD or other behavior and mental problems? I am at the point where I don't know what to do... Everyone quickly says " A good sound spanking will fix that". I disagree. I dont/cant and wont spank my daughter 24/7 and sometimes it only makes her behavior worse.
. My 9 yr. old daughter is diagnosed ax AD/HD, Bipolar (some days tripolar) and my lawyer mentioned she could possibly be BPD...which there is no cyre or medication for this. Ive researched it over and over and everything ive read is like the hell I live with. My child is also a victim of sexual abuse which intensifies all the emotions, rage, etc. I've never heard of ODD and am interested in learning more about it. Also, I've applied for SS for her and was denied. Has anyone had problems w/ this as well?? The extra insurance (medicaid) would give us so many more options and help.
